How to Manage Your WooCommerce Store with Claude or ChatGPT (MCP)
Checking sales, updating prices or finding an order takes many clicks. With the AI Store Manager module, you ask your AI assistant in plain language and it uses WooCommerce tools on your site.
What you need
- WooCommerce installed and active.
- The AI Store Manager (WooCommerce) module switched on under Modules.
- An AI client connected with OAuth. Grant the
mcp:woocommercescope on the consent screen.
What your AI client can do
| Area | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Products | Search, get, add, update, delete | Same |
| Categories, tags, brands | List, add, update, delete | Same |
| Orders | Search | Also create and update, including a custom order date |
| Reports | Sales, orders, products, customers, coupons and reviews totals | Same |
| Other WooCommerce endpoints | Read-only, added on the Abilities screen | Everything, including coupons, settings, shipping, taxes and webhooks |
Example prompts
- “Show me last month’s sales total and the five best-selling products.”
- “Find all orders from john@example.com.”
- “Raise the price of every product in the Hoodies category by 10 percent.”
- “Create a product category called Winter Sale.”
Keep your store safe
- Connect with a Shop manager account instead of an administrator.
- Give that role only the WooCommerce tools in Access control.
- Turn on the Activity log to review every change.
